Hi,i edit fcp6.1 on a 2.2 (santa rosa) mbp. I work with a Sony xd530 camcorder. When i start editing i hook up my camera via fw400 into my mbp and i dump the video on a OWC on the go external hd 320gb 7200rpm fw 800 witch is connected to my fw 800 port. Now i am thinking about buying the “OWC Mercury Elite esata with the Sonnet Tempo SATA ExpressCard/34 plugged into mij expresscard slot. Can i still work the same way? So hook up the xdcam via fw400 and dumping the video on the owc e(sata) disc?
Would this be a better solution when i start working with hd?
    Thanks

[jurriaan van der kamp] “an i still work the same way?”

    YES

YES Absolutely, esata is 2x as fast as FW800.

There are no “technical solutions” to your “artistic problems”.
