Hello, i want to isolate an animation from a movie. I have the footage already in fcp, but color selecting wont help. The animation is a fairy, and the wings will always disappear since the color i’m selecting can be seen through the wings. All i want is probably around 20-30 seconds of this fairy to be left in a transparent canvas. Is there a way i can do this with fcp? or perhaps another program (suggestions please). If this is not possible i would like to buy one with a transparent background of course and with a good quality, if there is any around the web please tell me where i could buy it, because so far i haven’t found any. Thank you in advance.

this is a job better suited for apps like Motion or After Effects. If it is a busy background you are probably looking at roto to remove the background.

Thanks for your response. I really have no experience with the other programs, but, i might as well give it a try. Thanks.
