  • Timeline hotkeys?

Sorry if this is covered elsewhere…

Is there a hotkey to expose a selected layer in the time line utomatically?

I have hundreds of layers in a comp. I select a specific layer through the comp window and then hunt for it in the timeline by scrolling up and down. Is there a way to have the timeline adjust it’s view to display the selected layer automatically?

    thanks

If you tap ‘p’ to reveal all the position property of the layer then the timeline should center the view of the stack on that layer. This should work with any property as long as you know the shortcut.

Great Darby, thanks. Not sure how I missed this?!?

Since all my layers had the position keyframes tumbled down to begin with when I first hit the “p” key it simply closed the position track without adjusting the view to display the layer in the time line. I guess I got fooled at that point.

    thanks again.
