  viewer does not update

  hi, it’s driving me nuts: the viewer in AE stopped updating!
  whatever kind of adjustment I make, I first have to pull on the time ruler to see it’s effect.. I think I have made some change in the preferences or switched on/off someting – but I can’t find what it is.

  I am also having the same problem, I was having a problem rendering and changed some preferences, ever since that the viewer dose not update. As far as I can tell the OpenGL stopped working, AE says that my graphic card dose not support OpenGL, but I have AE 6.5 and 7 installed on my computer and the viewer updates fine. Is there a way to reset AE’s preferences? or run download an update? AE still works, but it is very frustrating, please help. Thank You

  Okay total work around, I would still like to know what caused this problem in the first place, but if you, like me, get really frustrated not being able to see live updates, you can completely uninstall AE8 and reinstall
