Full Quality Export choppy in VLC?
Hey everyone,
I’ve got a question to throw out there… when I finish a project in FCP, I try and make a final Quicktime movie in full quality so that I can put it in my archives in case I ever need to make a copy of it onto DVD or cut it into something else. The file is usually created just fine, but I notice that when I watch it in the Quicktime player, it is in low quality, but plays at the right frame rate.
When it plays in VLC, it’s in high quality, but is choppy, and conks out halfway through playback. I try regular AVI files exported from Adobe Premiere Pro in VLC, and they work fine, and look good…and the data rates are just about the same for both files…. so, what gives?
