    Hi All,

I have a whole slew of clips that I will be transcoding into Prores422 so as to run a script to open them in QT for playback.

I want to adjust the audio levels in FCP AFTER they have all been transcoded into one codec (prores422) then save them into a QT file but want a QT not a FCP/QT file. Let me get to the question…

    – will FCP degrade or change the file at all, if I save it in FCP after doing all my work in compressor to getting the image to its best? I was going to change the program that opens the file in Finder from FCP to QT, after it has had the audio adjusted in FCP? Is their a quality issue I maybe facing or over looking?

    thanks
