I have Final Cut Pro 6.0.5 and my full screen cinema display playback has stopped working. I recently installed a Blackmagic Decklink Card. Would that have something to do with it? It’s the only thing I can think of.

Just to be clear, I have 3 apple cinema displays and one of them solely for my playback preview. That one now only shows the desktop. Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance,
    Dan

In VIEW>VIDEO PLAYBACK are you set for FULL SCREEN PLAYBACK?

And this worked before with the TWO graphics cards? The only difference is the Decklink software? And you added a card too, right?

Right. Is there something I need to do so I can keep the card?

Get an SDI to DVI adapter from Decklink so that you can play out from the decklink to that ACD.

Why would adding this card make my other card not work? It works for everything else (extended desktop and whatnot). The Final Cut preview is the only thing that has stopped working.

My fullscreen playback has started to periodically stop working. If I trash the FCP prefs and reopen the program it then works again. Try that. What’s annoying though is having to quit, trash prefs, and then resetting everything when I reopen so that it’s where I like it to be. Is there a way to stop the fullscreen playback from doing this so I won’t have to keep trashing prefs?
