  Swapping footage while retaining edits/markers?

  Hey gang,
  I’ve got two different renders of the same long clip (deinterlaced and interlaced) and want to swap them in my timeline, retaining the edits and markers. Tried relinking and forcing it to link to the other version, no luck. Would an edl accomplish this for me? I’d hate to have to re-edit the whole timeline, when the footage is exactly the same, just interlaced.
  A search yielded no answers…

  You could copy the one you want and then select content in the paste attributes over the one you want to change. .
