  Final Cut ERROR – Unable to read movie file captured

  Hi All

  HAd this message all damn afternoon. Its a DVCAM tape that I am trying to capture on FCP 6. Playing through a JVC 101. Could it be timecode related… Even tried capturing as a non-fw device !! Still the same .
  Recopy the tape maybe ?

  Can you open it with QT Player?
  If not, you need to recapture.
