    Hi Guys,

I’m working with XDCAM EX footage, and am trying to log and transfer several clips into FCP6 (all clips have been saved onto a hard drive). However, the first time I tried it, it only took the first clip from the folder and doesn’t respond if I try to select a different clip. Then when I tried again, it said there was a problem with the directory structure…

Before I started working on the project, someone had already transferred the majority of clips, but I don’t know what system they used to get it to work.

    Any ideas?

have you tried importing instead of log and transfer? or XDCAM transfer app.?

Yep, tried them both. It’s weird because it accepts some clips and not others (of course not the ones that I actually need).

Could it be some sort of format issue?? I’ve only worked with tapes til now, so this is still new to me…

everyone here knows more than me but one thing you should is check the format of the drive you are putting the media on.. should be mac not fat 32 .
can you convert the files to quick time in some other way (compressor?) and then bring them in?
another thing is Final Cut doesn’t use the xdcam format EVER.. so if you can convert to a .mov or anything else it might work?
