imported QT files contain important information?
I am log and transferring RED raw files into pro res QT files for an offline edit. FCP crashed during the transcoding process. The transcoded QT files are in the capture scratch but they do not show up in the FCP project browser. My question is can I import the transcoded QT files and maintain all the information I need to conform the cut to the 4K red files later using cinema tools? Or, do I need to re-transcode those files to maintain the proper data for the eventual conform? I don’t want to cut the film and realize that I can’t conform because I didn’t re-transcode. Thanks very much!!!
