    Hey all,

I’m reposting this from the Soundtrack Pro thread, as with one other post but mine in the last two weeks, it appears there aren’t many people reading/responding to that one!

    ———

Can anyone point me in the direction of a nice collection of ‘Swoosh’ sound fx? You know the sort of noise you often hear accompanying text reveals and fast animations. I’ve been through the library in STP and all of them are a bit too dark and or sci-fi for what I need.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi,

I don’t know if this is the same stuff you’ve looked at but sound effects for transitions i find very useful the collection found under; [computer name]>Library>audio>apple loops>apple>soundideas> and either motion and transitions, or the mech/tech folder. Some of them need some tinkering in Soundtrack but they’re all good i think.

Hope that helps. otherwise search google for “swoosh sound effects free” and there will be billions!

    Mark

Thanks for your really helpful input, Steve.

You know, I’d never thought of trying the world’s biggest search engine for finding stuff. Fancy that.

Unfortunately, with over 65 million returns for a search of ‘sound effects’, there’s an awful lot of crap to wade through before you find what you need.

Therefore I thought it might be an idea to get some recommendations from fellow professionals. You know, to help filter out some of the rubbish.

You can ‘try google’ for almost anything, and if that’s your response, there’d be very little point in having forums like the Cow.

But if that’s what you need to do to demonstrate what a clever guy you are, knock yourself out.
