Activity Forums Apple Final Cut Pro Legacy jittering text

  • Posted by Sage Dubois on November 2, 2009 at 1:32 pm

I exported a QuickTime movie from Final Cut Pro and when I play it in QuickTime all of my text is jittering. What do you think might be causing this? I exported as a QuickTime movie and used H.264 compressor. This is HD footage I am working with. I am on a tight deadline so any suggestions would be greatful! Thanks

How did you create the text?

I’m going to guess that you don’t have an external video monitor connected to your system. That would allow you to spot problems like this before you get to your deadline.

Without seeing your timeline and knowing more about what format you started with and how you’re using it, it’s impossible to give you any real help.

I created it with a text generator in Final Cut Pro

I am working in Final Cut Pro with HD Cam footage 1080 60i and stills. I am using text generators in Final Cut Pro. I had worked on the project on my Mac work station computer and because we had to fly out I had to take my external hard drive and laptop with me to finish. On my works station computer the text looked great in Final Cut Pro and exported just fine with no jittering text. When I opened that same project file on my Mac laptop the text in FCPro was jittery when I previewed (before I even made ANY changes) and when I exported it it remained jittery. Just wondering what may have caused this? Could it be the computer?
