black on digibeta stopped working….
My digibeta DVW-A500 stopped being able to generate black internally.
I usually black tapes not by sending black from fcp but
holding down the SDI input button for a few seconds, then
all 3 input lights go solid.its not working now…they won’t go solid.
anyone know how to reset that capability?

It’s a menu item. not sure what number, but it’s called “INT VIDEO SIG”

Feed the output 3 (super) to a monitor and turn on character.
Hit the menu button and navigate to menu #710, internal video signal. Set it to black, bars, etc.
Menu #808 is the internal audio signal. Set it to silence for black or tone for bars.

didn’t know about the audio silence, now I don’t have to pull out
the knobs and zero them when blacking!
