  Multiclip Issues

  A few issues I’ve had with multiclip that hopefully someone with more experience will have answers to. I am using FCP 7.0.1, OS 10.5.8 and the footage is XDCAM EX 720p 23.98:

  If I have any ins or outs marked in my sequence, my add edit/angle change occurs there, not at the playhead.

  In addition, the edit I make replaces the rest of the multiclip with the master clip of that angle. The work around for this is that I must first add an edit and then change the angle.

  Sometimes when I do a reveal master multiclip, I get asked if I want to create a master multiclip in the browser. I read about this in the FCP manual but I am not doing anything that would affect the angle structure. I am simply switching angles in my timeline.

  We’re having similar FC7 multipclip issues. Hopefully just a bug that will be fixed soon?
