  FCP to Deck problem

  So… I came to work today and the whole FCP system has been reinstalled because of other problems. I go to log & capture a tape and the FCP is not recognizing the decks video and audio, but the deck is recognizing the the FCP. Its FCP 6, and the Deck is a Sony HDMI it handles HDV, DV, mini DV, and DVcam.

  I’ve tried switching some of the settings in the FCP and nothing has worked. I’m sure its just a simple switch or button I’m not pushing, but I kinda need someone to tell me what it is. I haven’t worked here very long, so I’m not familiar with there physical equipment in relation to the FCP.

  Please Help.
