How to delete audio tracks and keep it deleted?
Hi,
I’m still new to FCP, so this is probably a simple question…
I am assisting on a project, where we are syncing some dailies. The dailies from camera have camera sound attached, and I’m syncing them with sound files we have as well. In order to not have my editor cut with 4 tracks of audio, I need to delete two tracks (usually the boom) so she only works with the mic tracks. However, when I unlink the tracks, delete the audio track, relink in my sequence, the changes do not get saved. I have done this before, and I think I also made the clips master clips after I relinked them. Now I can’t find that function, and nothing I have tried works. The clips still remain with all 4 tracks of audio in the sequence. Is there an easier way of doing this? In Avid, I could just hide the tracks but am not sure how I can do that in FCP. Thanks! I’m using FCP ver. 7.0Danielle
