    Hello,

This is a problem that I have never encountered with FCP/QT in all the years I have used it.

I have a video which plays perfectly but when I use QT to export it, the audio lags behind the video. I have tried different settings. I had downloaded 10.0 and am using FCP 6.0.6. Any ideas.

FCP version 6.0.6 is not designed to work with QT10 as far as I know. QT10 is for Snow Leopard/ FCP7 only I think.

    Thanks for the observation.

I got rid of QT 10 and reinstalled QT 7 but to no avail. I’ve tried all different settings but the sound still lags behind the video.
My only other thought is that the scenes that were edited were imported in from After Effects and perhaps that saved with QT10 still has an effect on the FCP. Is there anyone out there who has an opinion about this? I really am stuck behind the 8 Ball on this one.

    Thanks,

    Bill

Okay now this is getting weirder. I went back to the files I had in After Effects and resaved them in QT7 as a stand alone movie file. When I brought them back into FCP, they exhibited the same audio problems eventhough they worked perfectly outside of FCP. Obviously there is something wrong with FCP but what?
