  • Significant speed bug in FCP7

I have a subclip that’s been made from a seven and half minute clip. The subclip is in the timeline. I’ve added two speed keyframes to the clip in the speed indicators. I mouse down on one of the speed keyframes to drag it and a completely different frame of video appears in the Canvas. It is not a frame from the subclip at all but from somewhere near the beginning of the master clip from which the subclip was made. I have tried this on a number of shots and it happens in every instance. What I appear to be seeing is the equivalent timecode from the beginning of the subclip as counted from the beginning of the master shot.

Can anyone else repeat this problem? It’s a major bug that points back to issues with time remapping in the first versions of FCP4.

    Thanks very much.

    All the best,

    Tom
