FCP Suddenly Demands a Serial Number!
After using this version of FCP for years, today out of the blue, when I tried to open the program, it asked for First Name, Last Name, Organization and Serial Number. I can’t find my serial number and therefore can’t use the program. I tried verifying and then repairing permissions, but it made no difference.
Any help?

Some how the file that keeps that serial number was ether deleted or damaged.
Sorry but your going to need to reenter your serial number.
There are no “technical solutions” to your “artistic problems”.

If you registered, and haven’t spent the last few years cancelling the Register Now window! (I’ve seen this happen in a couple of studios – not the smartest move.)
But yeah, Apple support is your best bet.
