audio out of sync – new twist
On further investigating my audio sync issue I found that all media is coming in at 8 bit uncompressed even if I have selected something different. In the Log and Capture window on the Capture tab Capture/Input selection area you can select something it will give that info in the window, but when it is captured your media is 8 bit uncompressed no matter what you select. Oh and all this new media I captured, the audio is in sync.
I also went to the Audio/Video Settings window under FCP menu and changed the setting there I still get 8 bit uncompressed.
Any ideas?Margie Beeson

And what did you set? Should we try to guess? You’re using a Kona card you said in another thread. What are you using it for? Are you digitizing from analog media, or something else? Did you use a custom preset? Did you calibrate an offset with your deck, assuming there’s an analog deck in there?

This FCP system has been up and running perfectly for a while now. In fact I captured media from this same tape that was fine then realized there was more media on the DBeta tape and capture the next clip. I went on to capture many more DBeta tapes that same day yet this one clip is 18 frames out of sync.
Can’t figure out what happened and don’t know why only one clip was off and all the others were fine when nothing that I am aware of was changed on the system.
If you have any thoughts as to what I might have selected I sure don’t want it happening again.
