  Optimal Digital Record Drive for MultiCamera Workflow

  Here’s the story, we will be doing a shot with 2 studio config cameras that will be running through a switcher, and we also will have a Panosonic HPX200 camera running around, and I need all of these to be digitally ingested onto a Mac with Final Cut, Any switcher we will be using should have multiple output options; HD analog component/SDI -digital, etc. The Digital Record drive should be able to intake from the switcher as well as P2, what would the best hardware for this scenario, it will only be rented so price isn’t too much of a worry, I have done some research and

  should work, but I do not have any experience with this kind of hardware so I wanted some of your guys’ opinions.

  I would recommend the HPG-20, AJ-HPM200 or AJA’s KiPro.

  I had come across the AJA Ki Pro also, but can it input p2 cards?

  KiPro has all video connections except Composite. No input for P2 cards.
  Take an output from your switcher to the unit and record to ProRes.

  Personally I would iso the cameras and record your mix to the HPG-20 or other device you choose.
