Multiclips relinking, losing MAJOR sync

1st off thank you for replying 😉
I am working with multiclips in fcp 6.
The camera angles in my Multiclipsare out of sync after relinking from 3 frames to 15 minutes.
Note:
I did not create the project so am not sure how the masterclips were multicliped.
Reel names where incorrectly labled when digitized:
the reels and quicktimes when digitized (tape names) to my project, they were not named correctly. all reels (like 30) named 001
When the quicktimes where changed at the root level to unique reel names and then in the fcp project, a 98% of my multiclips lost sync at times by 15 minutes.
Initial multiclips where redone multiple times because camera angles and audio where left out:
Initially many of the multiclips where redone a few times because some Camera & audio tracks were missing. (before relink)
Note:
So I am working with multiple different multiclips of the same footage because I was already so far along with my edit.
When all Multiclips where relinked, the camera and audio angles/tracks are up to 15 minutes out of sync some at three frames:
After this the quicktimes where relinked the multiclips to the newly corrected misnamed quicktimes. Cameras and audio are out of sync.
not sure if it was done manually or my search…I can’t make heads or tails of this and am at a total loss!!

Which version of FCP are you on. You say “6”, but if you’re not on 6.05 or later, I’d suggest that
you upgrade.Mark

we are on 6.04. would upgrading to 6.05 solve those problems?
or just prevent it from happening on the future?thanks Mark!!

With FCP, I would personally want to have the “latest greatest” version. Now Ver 7 requires a minimum hardware config (intel based), but at the very least, I’d upgrade to the highest “six” level.
To answer your question… maybe. It really depends on your workflow.
