  FCP 7 Operation not allowed

  Have just started working on FCP 7. Am new to FCP. Just getting up to speed and all going well, three camera views from a business event on timeline and dropping in jpeg images (resized from powerpoint presentation) Suddenly error message after doing Command S to save – “Operation not allowed” this has happened twice within an hour. Colleague tried Command 8 to see where media going but FCP then quit and I lost the last hour work. Now it has happened again. Eek!

  Do you have autosave on? If so you might not have lost an hours work.

  Also did you try ‘save as’? If that works it might indicate a corrupt project file.
