I am editing a four camera shoot and I am noticing a subtle flicker on all the shots that does not appear if I open the individual files in QT.
The footage is XDCAM EX 1080p @ 30fps. I have checked the settings on the sequence and everything seems good there.
Is this a known issue or should I look at a setting.

Where are you seeing this flicker? ON your video output? DVD? video monitor? Computer display? Canvas? What scale on the Canvas?

I’m sure you already know that the QT Player and Broiwser will play your raw files in the native format/codec. The Canvas plays them after processing to the timeline/sequence settings and then displays them on the Canvas which is a down-rez display, only an approximation.

Sorry, I should have said in the canvas and viewer. Don’t have a monitor output at the moment. I did a quick test export of a few seconds and on the output file in a QT window the flicker was not apparent. So I am assuming it was something in FCP. But I’d still like to know if this is a known issue.
One other thing, all the camera feeds were synced to T/C, but there are about 1 frame errors across the audio tracks, not always noticeable on the cuts but sometimes you can hear it. Visually, I can see it on lip sync, others cannot (but then I’ve spent a long time in QC).

It is not an issue, it is part of the dynamic RT, which drops frames and quality to be able to play back the 4 streams. If you collapse the clips this should also go away.
