I just recently purchased FCS 3. In the past I would use the XML scripting to send files from Final Cut to Premiere. Now I have the new Final Cut and I am using the same exact XML 5 scripting, but now when I try to import into Premiere, Premiere gives me a “importer generic error” message. According to Adobe this is a FCS problem. Anyone have and info on this?

What version of Premiere do you have? CS4.1 added this feature.

Apple changed something in their latest release and it broke all of the XML exporting to Adobe. FCS2 works fine. Adobe is aware of this and will release an update soon to adapt their support for Apples FCP 7.

    Hope this helps,

Thanks for all your help. I can’t believe they changed the scripting in Apple. Because of this I will probably uninstall FCS 3 and go back to 2. I am going to post a new thread for one more problem with FCS3. Thanks again.
