Quicktime thumbnails
Posted by Josh Smith on September 9, 2009 at 4:28 pmHowdy! I’ve created about 100 quicktime files and I want a thumbnail .jpeg for each one. Does anyone know of an automated process to do this?
Thanks!

September 9, 2009 at 6:31 pmUPDATE: I figured out one way…i took them all into Adobe Media Encoder and made .tif files out of them, then i took all into Photoshop and sized accordingly with an action and saved as .jpeg files. Pretty clunkly but it got the job done. I’d still love to know if there’s a program or procedure out there that anyone knows about to automate this process.
thanks !

September 10, 2009 at 3:37 pmI use a program called Panorama to do this, you can get it at https://www.provue.com. It’s basically a database, but it has an interpreted coding language built in. You can create functions like tcdiff(“01:01:02:03”, “00:09:00:02”,24) * you get the idea* that make image management tasks a snap. The demo will work fine for this purpose, let me know if you would like my script.
and I’m at https://www.ba ke.org
