Hey im new to these forums. Great job with the website and everything!

Im making a slideshow for a mates 21st and I want to sync my stills and video with the music. Im fairly new to AE and I dont have much time for this project so im just trying to learn everything at once. Big problem im having is that I cant play the music in realtime. I have to constantly do RAM Previews to hear the music. I have done something similar in Premiere but not sure how to in AE. Reason I want to do it in AE is for image zooms and pans and rotations and all the effects. Should I just be using Premiere?

Sorry if im not too clear on what im after. Cheers

For a lot of things, an NLE (such as Premiere) is faster than AE, since AE has to render everything. By all means though, stay with AE if it has features you need, or if Premiere is starting to spend time rendering.

But if Premiere’s faster and does what you need, use it.

I watched your tutorial but is there anyway to randomize the zooms, pans and rotations? They dont even have to be random. Say I made a few different zooms, pans etc presets. Sorry im having a hard time explaining this without the proper terminology
