  Shakey Darkness Please help

  Ok so I have some footage that I shot of a wedding that is pretty shaky. I know there is a plug-in for this but I dont know where to find the best one and I am pretty much pressed for time. Also I have done my best to brighten up my dark reception shots but the film now seems pretty grainy and out of focus. I was wondering if there were any suggestions. Oh yeah I am using Final Cut Pro.

  Have you tried using the FCP filters? There is one for shaky camera shots. I haven’t used it but may be worth a try. For the darkness you can work with color correction and/or the gamma correction filter and contrast…

  In similar situations I have creatively cut to other shots and/or edited less than desirable clips to black and white. Done well it can add a creative element and mood to the piece.

  Check out Core Melt’s Lock & Load for your shaky footage.

  For some shooting tips. Use a tripod or monopod if you can’t shoot steady hand held.
  Use a good on-camera light to get good exposure for your footage.
