Pro Res 444 advice
I have installed final cut studio 2 and edited a lot of stuff with it.
Recently I’ve transfered some 16mm film straight to hard drive with the pro res 444 codec. It is my understanding that pro res 444 is not a codec installed on final cut studio 2 – only on final cut studio 3.
Right now I see my only option is to upgrade at a cost of 300$ so I can edit with pro res 444 – are there any other options????
Could I compress my pro res 444 video to pro res 422, offline edit, then re-compress to 444 and color correct in color, or even REDcine for example?
Is there a plug in for the pro res codec I desire?
