Compressor’s BD H.264 Streams are now Spec Complaint
Hi Folks
Just a quick note to say that recent FCP release has now given Compressor the ability to output spec compliant BD H.264 streams for replication.

Hi,
I just used Compressor to make H.264 files for Blu-ray. Quality is great at higher bit rates, but there is a significant red bias. This is the first BD I’ve made with Compressor, so I don’t know if it has something to do with my input files or not. They were provided by my client: DNxHD QT, 1080i, 29.97, millions+, 709 (video) color space.
Contrast and saturation on the Compressor output file are fine, hue is good too, but reds are definitely emphasized – most obvious in skin tones for instance. Has anyone else noticed this?
Second question on a related note: When I try to adjust color using the Compressor “Color Correct Midtones” filter, the resulting .264 file is corrupt – just a red-tinted still-frame. Has anyone else been able to get this filter to work with H.264 files?
