  Fixing Dead Pixels, But FCP Keeps Unexpectedly Quitting.

  I’m seeking help within Final Cut Pro 6

  I’m working on a feature, and there is some dead pixels I’ve got to fix. I have CHV Repair Collection with Dead Pixel v.1.0. Every time I apply the effect to the clip FCP stalls for a sec then unexpectedly quits.
  We’ve had it work on the same project before, but have had to do lots of re-edits, and at one point had to collect shots from the raw footage.

  I’ve tried closing and relaunching FCP. Shutting down and restarting the computer, so far no luck.

  Do I need to get an upgrade for FCP or CHV??
  I’m not sure of what to do to fix the problem

  I’d appreciate any solutions or ideas

  you might have to open an autosave version of that project to get back to it.

  not sure what to do about fixing the pixels.
  how large is the project (file size)?
  maybe do all that work in a new, stripped-down project.
