  broken audio scrubbing

  Hello all,

  I have an issue with audio scrubbing. I’ve searched previous posts, but it doesn’t have my specific problem.

  I can normally hear audio when scrubbing through my video, but recently it has gone (very annoying). I have tried turning it ‘off’ and ‘on’ in the menu and via keystrokes, but it doesn’t work. I’ve lost the sped up audio playback when I use the L and J keys also. ANyone else had this issue.

  I’m using FCP 3 by the way (not Studio 3, but actual 3 – very old).

  Try trashing your preferences. This is usually a good thing to try when any version of FCP starts acting flaky. Be sure to note anything you have customized and drag all the effects you have saved as favorites into a project, as trashing your prefs returns everything to default.

  Hmm…That didn’t work. Anyone else got any suggestions please? They would be greatly appriciated!
