i have Nikkon D90 SLR, obviously no firewire, it records HD video at 1280x720p 24, now how do i get the video which is recorded on the SD card into FCP?

next how do i convert it into the prores format so that i can work on the timeline in the prores format?

next i already have HDV footage at 50i, i want to combine both footage keeping it at 50i. will simply exporting it at 50i not affect the other footage?

i was suggested that i could use the P2 media for tapeless recording, from the log and transfer in FCP, will this option help me to transfer footage ito ProRes format? or do i bring all my footage on the timeline, and go to sequence settings, and change render option to ProRes?

    thanks
    mahesh
