  • Border Problem with Copy/Paste Video Track

I noticed in FCE that when I drag a clip from the canvas into the right window everything works ok and the clip takes up the entire black space in the canvas and right windwo.

However, when I select and copy a clip from the timeline and paste it into another sequence (as opposed to dragging a clip into the canvas), the pasted clip is very small within the black space in the right video. Also, I convert and render this second sequence, the output is very small with a huge black border.

What am I doing wrong when I select a clip in one sequence and paste it into another sequence? How do I assure that it will always fit the black space as setup.

i dot know much about FCE (never used it, in fact)
but in FCP, there is USer reference (editing tab) for “Always Scale Clips to Sequence”
so when you edit a non-standard clip or graphic into a sequence, it scales to fit.

copying from one sequence to another and getting a huge mismatch ins sizes like you are getting
indicates to me the two sequences do NOT have similar settings.
it sounds like one is Standard def, and the other is HD.
