My Mac book pro gives me Panic kernel when I try to convert any file to Apple ProRes or when I’ve been working for more them an hour all this happen when I have my 5 bay esta toward but when I use normal firewire 400 in my external hard drive everything works well. Is there any problem in work esata on final cut?

I know the toward is fine because just freeze the computer in final cut all other applications work well.

    Any Ideas

    Thanks

Professional editors all over the world use eSATA raids with FCP, so you must be having some other issue. Why don’t you tell us what brand of express card you’re using and what brand of enclosure you’re using and maybe someone can help you.
