  gamma/white balance correction

  Hi I recently shot a wedding and my B camera operator had the white balance on auto, thus when he zoomed in to a tight shot of the bridal party they were basically silhouettes. My question is this: is there any way to correct this so that it doesn’t look grainy? I’ve tried HSV, brightness/contrast etc, and it doesn’t look too great.

  here are the same two screen captures, the first with filters applied (I think it looks grainy), the second being the original, unfiltered image:

  What is the best way to fix this problem? Will I have to settle for grainy images from my B roll?
