  Dropped frames on Colour Bars!?

  Hi all,

  An odd problem has started cropping up when I edit to tape. I’m getting dropped frames, but only on colour bars and slugs.

  FCP 6.0.6
  HD 1080/50i ProRes Sequence
  Laying off to Digi via Kona 3.

  My only thought is that the system HDD, where I assume the colour bars and slugs etc are kept, isn’t performing very well. There’s plenty of space left on the drive, which is the factory fitted drive, about 18 months old.

  Has anyone else experienced this? Can anyone direct me to where on the HDD the generator files are stored?

  Not sure what your problem is, but the Bars (and black frames, and Media Offline slates) are stored on your scratch disk, in your render folder within a folder called “Constant Frames”.
