i just hooked up a 32″ Panasonic TV monitor to my Mac Pro via a DVI-to-HDMI adaptor, and i have a few dumb questions about getting the best look possible from this set-up (and maybe i’ve already got it). just wondering if i should pursue this here or if there might be a better forum?

    Thanks again!

Time to do a search. TV’s are not meant to be used as Computer monitors. This is another FAQ.

Ya, i can see why…just figured there might be a way to convert them these days. I was given this 32″ HD screen, and don’t need it in the house, so just thought i would try it as ye olde edit screen. It looks like i’ve “adjusted” it as good as it will get, and it’s not all that good. Thanks for the reply, though.

    Thanks again!

Play with the MONITOR settings…mainly the pixel dimensions. I have a MacMini connected to my 42″ Panasonic Plasma via a DVI>VGA converter, and I have the monitors set to 1280×720 (it is a 720p monitor) and it looks AMAZING. I play movies from iTunes and TV shows from Hulu, and over the air HD via EyeTV. Looks awesome.
