just finished editing a 35 sec piece on Final Cut Pro, and now I have to send it to the SFX artist to do his thing. I need to send it to him as an uncompressed mov file and a png or tga image sequence. The footage was shot at 720/24p. The occuring problem that it keeps squishing the frame into 4:3 from 16:9 no matter how I try to send it. Any suggestions as to what is the best way to send this??

You need to make your exported size 1280×720. If your footage is DVCProHD, then it’s actually 960×720, which is why it looks squished on export.
