I just watched Austin City Limits for the first time the other night and I LOVE the opening. Does anyone know of any tutorials out there to create an opening just like that one? I was so impressed at how seemless the transitions are.

Try to record it and then deconstruct it. You’ll see fairly simple moving layers with basic transitions. The elegance lies in the finesse with which the designers added effects without calling much attention to them. It looks so good because it’s so simple. Er, “simple” in terms of elegance. There’s nothing easy about the opening sequence.

Google quickly returned lots of interesting hits including the station of origin and production company. Might be somebody there you can talk to.

This is my standard sigfile so do not take it personally: “For crying out loud, read the freakin’ manual.”
