FCP Studio 3 “Certification”
Well, I’ve had an interesting morning.
I know that certification doesn’t mean a lot to most people here (I see it myself as a cross between updating my resume, getting my feet in the door of a new market, and vanity) but I was scheduled to take the FCP level 1 & 2 exams next week, and now…we’ve got a new version.
Damn.
Anybody have any idea what I should do ? Should I take the current tests and hope Apple provides a quick and easy re-certification path ? Should I wait until the new tests come out (and how long would that be ? Months ? A year ?) Should I put my time and effort into getting certified for DVD Studio, since it hasn’t been updated, even though PeachPit Press doesn’t even offer the required text anymore ? My whole summer was based around getting Master Certified on Studio this summer, and that’s seemingly scrapped to hell now.
Seriously, can anyone toss out some ideas here, because I’m staring down a beer and wondering just what in the hell to do…

How much money vs. how much benefit is what you need to ask.
If you spent all this time preparing, I’d just go ahead and get it. It’ll taking the next update that much easier. Can’t hurt.
