  Exporting HD to DVcam

  For a festival, they want a DVCAM 4×3 of my 90 minute feature. I have successfully exported thru AJA to tape, but it looks lousy. The original source was DVCPro 50 HD. Any recommendations?

  that’s not HD. DVCPro 50 is Standard Definition. DVCPro HD is HD.

  Tell us what Easy Setup you used in FCP and how you configured the Kona Control Panel.

  Also… If your footage was in fact DV50 and not HD, doing a center crop is a significant loss of resolution. (you are cropping out lots of pixels).

  Exporting DVCpro 50 from DV NTSC 48k Sequence via AJA 525/29.97 8 bit to DSR 30 deck. Primary and secondary AJA Format is 525/29.97, Digital Video Output 1 is Primary 525.29,97 and output 2 is secondary 525/29.97, Analog Output is Secondary 525/29.97 and format is Composite +Y/C
