Anyone used the MAXX DIGITAL Evo 4K Expando?
Looking for new storage for someone and wanted to see if anyone had any experience with this?

Yep, been running this since January here. It wasn’t called the 4k Expando when we started using it, but I guess that’s the official name now. 16TB (16 1TB Drives.) We’re set up in two 8TB Partitions, each running RAID 5.
We have 6 workstations all working off this SAN via the Final Share ethernet shared storage setup from Maxx. The array is just simply rock solid. If you look at the article I wrote about the Shared Storage solution, you’ll see a picture of it as it used to look before they added the fancy new cover to the front. And at the time they were calling it the Evo 2 HD, but I guess they have updated the naming structure now.
All 16 drives striped together in RAID 0 was something like 750 or 850MB/s. That was scary fast. We’re getting something like 450 or 500MB/s the way it’s set up now with the 2 partitions in RAID 5.
