Hi guys, I know this is a tech problem..but I just wondered if anyone had had this happen before and knows a quick fix?

When I hit F1 or go to help menu in AE it comes up with an error and says “this operation cannot be performed”. Looks like my other CS2 apps are doing it aswell – I’ve not installed anything since the last time it worked!?!

Anyone know why this would happen all of a sudden?

    Cheers.

the help menus on my PC are run through a web browser. So maybe your virus software or spy ware blocker is stopping it. i found that on, my PC when i hit f1 that firefox warns me that there is a popup and it is going to block it and prompts me if i want to allow it. you could also check to see if the help files are even on your system. C:\Program Files\Adobe\After Effects 6.5\Support Files\(HelpE) if the files are present then it must be getting stopped some where else… click on any of those files to see if you can open them. i guess if all else fails you could do a repair of the CS suite just by putting the disks back in and dragging out the help files.

    Cheers,
