no, actually, I’d like it to appear.

Just trying to create a simple rain effect. Doesn’t even have to look that spectacular for this use.

From my searching, I learned that there was a rain effect under simulate?

I checked and I don’t have it. Is that a standard effect?

    I have AE Pro 7

These are part of the Cycore plug-ins and have to be installed separately. Just pop your install DVD in and there they’ll be.

Then you’ll have CC Rain ready and waiting for you next time you launch After Effects.

    Cheers,
    Ben

while you’re at it you might as well install color finesse and keylight.

The topic of creating rain comes up often around here so be sure to use the search function, restrict to AE forums.

the issue is always believability. Making natural phenom from simulators takes lots of work or they just look fakey.

This is my standard sigfile so do not take it personally: “For crying out loud, read the freakin’ manual.”
