Rotating and scaling
I have a video in DVCPPRO HD 1080i 60. I need to create a SD DVD to be played on a vertical LCD TV display.
I’m using FCP motion panel to scale at 120% and rotate at -90, and then using Compressor to generate the MPEG2 file.
The results have not been satisfactory.
Should I first edit the file, export the rotated and scaled file to either uncompressed or DVCPRO HD and then use Compressor to create the MPEG, or is it better to do it directly from FCP.
In either case, what should be the ideal settings in order not to loose quality. Specially in field dominance, frame controls, anti alias and details, since the entire movie has been rotated and zoomed in.
I’m using FCP 5.1.4 Thanks for any help!
