  • low quality video playback = low quality compressed video ?

Quick question : When I lower my video playback settings in FCP (in order to avoid dropped frames, etc) do I need to go back and raise the video quality, frame rate, etc. before exporting/compressing the timeline into a video file in order to get the best possible quality in the exported video file? If i keep my playback settings low on the FCP timeline, do I export a lower quality finished product or does compressor automatically create the best video possible, (ignoring the lowered video playback settings in the timeline) ?

Newb question no doubt, but I was curious –jL
