• Apple Final Cut Pro Legacy

  FCP Epress HD P2 import

  I have used FCP 6 to log and transfer P2 footage numerous times before but I am currently using FCP Express HD 3.5.1 and there doesnt seem to be the the log and transfer option. Just a capture. Am I missing something simple? If not, is there any way to get the program to recognize the MXF footage? I have the “last clip” txt files so that is not the issue.

  Any help would be much appreciated.

  Sorry but Final Cut Experss ONLY supports DV and HDV captured in the Apple Intermedate Codec.

  If you want to use P2 you will have to move up to the full Final Cut Studio.

  There are no “technical solutions” to your “artistic problems”.
  Don’t let technology get in the way of your creativity!

  Thanks for the help! I just wanted to make sure there were not any other solutions and that it wasnt the 24pN that I was shooting in.
