  Movie from Powerpoint

  I just saved a Powerpoint movie “as movie”from Powerpoint2008 on my Mac and now it has a .mov extension and opens in Quicktime player. When I try to import into FCP 6.02 I get
  file error 1 file s recognized 0 access denied 1 unknown
  I have upgraded my computer to the latest version of Quicktime Pro (that means that FCP should be using that, right?)
  Any ideas?

  Try exporting from Quicktime [File -> Export…] as DVPAL (or DV NTSC if your that way inclined) or even Uncompressed and then import to FCP. That usual does the trick.
